3. I'm first generation Mexican and my family went from gutter poor to doctors/lawyers/business owners. I swear, most of us are not this shameless. But some families are pretty shameless and when the decent families intermarry, we usually stay away or put very firm boundaries in place if we have to deal with them. Yes, we help out family but we don't enable, let alone take on a responsibility of that magnitude for a GF.

5. Ummm….. This is patently false (source: I do criminal background checks for a living).

   “Simple Assault”, even when initiated against a police officer, government employee, or emergency worker, is generally a misdemeanor.

   “Felonious Assault” is usually charged in cases where there is an unusually severe level of injury, or when intent to kill or grievously harm (maim, disfigure, etc.) the victim.
