Seeing how you cohabitate before marriage is huge, it's naive to get married without even living together for at least over a year.. I think context matters, if you had been together for 6 years from let's say your mid twenties then it would be different imo and i'd say cut your loses, but since you're still so young and have been together since you were young it matters. It's pretty similar to my wife and I, early 20's we got together and it took me 6 years as well to propose, because there is much stuff that happens in your 20's.
