I suspect your mother having affairs is nothing new for your Dad. That it is with a family member is just awful. It sounds as if though he has been enabling her for years. I'm saddened that he thinks that her latest stunt is yet another 'situation' that he has to suck up. I'm kind of worried about him that he thinks that he thinks he deserves this.
Remind your Dad if your Mom pulls the threat of suicide card that he should call 911 immediately for assistance. He shouldn't have to bear the weight of that threat even if it is a manipulation tactic.
You perhaps should find a therapist on how to navigate your anger with your mother along with your desire to still have her in your life. This is something that you have to personally decide.
