It’s great that he started therapy, but he must not understand how it works. It’s not an overnight change where he will just all of a sudden not have any problems. It’s meant to allow him to get his thoughts out and learn ways to change that behavior. He needs to keep up with it and do the work.

Why can’t you job hop to build experience and credibility and then plan to find your actual long term job close to her family at the end of your 2-3 year journey?
Or if her family matters that much, why can’t you plan to include her family in your future plans, such as what if you settle down somewhere awesome and help her family join you guys and get on their feet?
