It sounds like she’s bored of herself/her life and it seems like she thinks drastic changes such as the ones you mentioned will suddenly make her feel fulfilled. I would say you should hold off on all of that and really communicate to her how you’re feeling. It’s difficult but it’s the only way to find out if you’ll be moving forward together or separating. I feel like 3-4 years is the common rut for most couples and I think what makes the difference on the relationship surviving or not is the communication between both people.
I got several weird and strange comments like that, mainly from men with daughters, when my oldest came out as a lesbian.
That i was “lucky” because i didn't have to worry about them getting pregnant
They “hoped” their daughters would be lesbians because “men can be assholes”
And some other oddities i can't fully remember now.
It's weird. It's extremely weird and off putting and it's uncomfortable when grown men talk about a kids sexual orientation like that.
Is he under some sort of belief that same sex relationships don't have the same issues as opposite sex ones? Because they do.

Is he aware that children grow up and are people too? Is he aware that your child might want to study or work on a field he does not want? What happens then?
If your child is 18 and wants to study art will he push the kid until he buckles or the child cut contact with you too? Is he willing to take that risk? Does he really think he has all the answers and his only way of life is viable??
