There will be plenty of time for having kids later on. A baby is a full time job for someone and for the first 6 months or so, you will get very little sleep so it's not practical for you to go to school or work with a baby.

Take stock of the realities to decide if moving would be good for him, meaning could he thrive in this new place and not become resentful of you. If his career is one with opportunities in this new city then maybe talk to him about it. This move can't be based solely on the relationship because well rounded people are far more than just that. So have some info on hand when you bring this up. Know what the landscape is for his career specialty, talk about how there are facilities for his hobbies. Appeal to him on the level of this great city you're moving to then just ask him if he'd consider coming with you (or moving there later after you've gotten settled).
