Dating a trans man when you're a straight man is basically invalidating them. If you can't date your partner as a man then that's fine. If you can continue dating them and see them as a man that's also fine, you're just bi now. Doesn't mean you have to like other men though!
But a big problem you've got here is you're centering yourself in something that your partner is going through. Talk about it! Chances are they're not a man (since such a small % of people are trans) but they DO need your support. Give that support, help them to better understand themselves. And then decide what to do after!
