1. Have you dealt with a parent like OP mom?

   My mom is a narcissist. I know full well how someone who is a narcissist acts like.

   His wife is showing classic signs of dealing with a narcissist, and having had enough of it.

   Her red flags as you call them, are her being fed up with the treatment of her MIL, over years. And being done with her husband choosing to not do anything about his mothers behavior.

   The wanting him to go NC/LC with all his family is because as long as he has contact with other enablers like him, there will be no peace in their relationship, because they will continue bringing it in. Making comments, relaying messages, trying to convince OP to talk to his mom etc.

   His family stood by and allowed OP mom to act like she did at their wedding as well as other times during their relationship, and they all make excuses for her.

   They are all enablers.

   Of course he is going to make his wife out to be the bad guy, and write things to make her look like she has red flags. All her red flags are from his mom.

   His wife is smart wanting him to buy her out, or sell the house, and divorce him. As long as he has something to do with his mom, and his family who enable the behavior, they will never have a good relationship.

   He is the walking red flag in this relationship, and he will never have a decent relationship with any woman because of his mom. His wife is smart enough to see it now , and get the F out
