We have had arguments in the past where I’ve expressed to him that he’s dismissing my feelings and just because something isn’t a big deal to him, doesn’t mean it isn’t to others.
We’ve had many incidences where I’ve had to explain why I don’t feel heard. A clear and recent example being we went out with some of my work friends and he met some for the first time. I told him before going out that I didn’t feel up for going for long so wanted him to stick close to me. We had been out a while before I mentioned wanting to leave and he agreed. Less than 30 seconds later a colleague’s bf asks him if he wants another drink and without thinking looks at me and says absolutely, before walking to the bar.
He was confused as to why I was angry, despite us agreeing to leave a moment ago.
Maybe I have been making too many excuses. It’s his first relationship so I just put it to not really knowing how they work but idk…
