I was about to be on your bf’s side, until I read further.
My partner of 3 years has sever ADHD. He also smokes weed, currently he is trying to quit. He’s been saying that for so long…. idk. The longest he’s been able to stop was 12 months until he did it again and lied about it.
But my mans…. He has a job, single-handedly takes care of his two daughters and pays his bills on time. Taxes are a bit more difficult for him but this year I’ve started to help him with that and that helps him a lot.
His problem isn’t his ADHD. Cause guess what? I have ADHD too. His problem is he needs a kick under the butt.
