Allowing Lily to just exist and contribute nothing is not the kindness you seem to think it is. It is not good for Lily to float through life mooching on the goodwill of others. At minimum, every person living in the house should be contributing to the wellbeing of the house as a whole, whether by earning money, doing chores, or at the very least learning to be self-sufficient. Lily is not a child, but (if barely) an adult, and allowing an adult to on-line like a child is not helping.
thank you! this is the way I looked at it as well. I understand casually dating, but I felt as though after a certain amount of time with someone then there wouldn’t be desire to see someone else. I don’t view dating as shopping in a grocery store, but I guess that’s a minority of thought
If you feel something is off, always trust your guts.
Get rid of your friend if she doesn’t get that you don’t want anything more to do with him. Tell her you’re not interested and if she thinks he deserves a chance, she can give him that chance.
