  1. Pretty common dynamic.

    You remain balanced and intellectual.

    She is vigilant and Emotional.

The “Honeymoon Period” is over and the REAL work with the Bond begins.

Neither one of you is up for it, so you split.

You will probably divorce, rebound into another relationship and repeat.

    Thats the pattern.

    Any Questions?

  2. I was also in that thread and specifically discussing those issues so I have done some recent research. Chlamydia can be dormant in a person for years. However, “dormant” chlamydia is still transmissible, and tests will still detect “dormant” chlamydia. The more accurate term is “asymptomatic chlamydia,” since chlamydia with no symptoms can still damage your reproductive systems and will still appear in tests. The chance of a false positive is 0-2.9%, so that is highly unlikely. The transmission rate is 30-50% per encounter. For OP, this means she got the disease between this test and her last one. Assuming she has yearly check ups and considering her fidelity during their two year relationship as well as the accompanying BV and pelvic inflammatory disease, she definitely has chlamydia and it must have come from her boyfriend. He could have had asymptomatic chlamydia, but for him to have contracted it before their relationship and just now be transmitting it to her, even if they had sex less than 10 times, is such an infinitesimally slim possibility that it has to be expressed with scientific notation because of how many zeros you'd need to write. Based on all these factors, I believe there most likely was cheating in both cases. The guy yesterday was probably lucky and his GF had JUST gotten the chlamydia, or it was the less than 3% chance of a false positive, which does happen.

  3. All this ? and therapy if you're able to do so. The best revenge is to start living your best life. It's fucked up that she betrayed you like this but I wouldn't even bother confronting her because she really isn't worth your time. Please take care of yourself! Small steps, eat a healthy meal (or just eat something, tbh), get 20 minutes of sunlight a day if you can, and stay hydrated.

  4. Look if you are the only one willing to work on the marriage then the marriage can not be salvaged. Your wife has to want to fix the problems for them to be fixed. Just because the day before she treats you like absolute garbage, and then the next day acts like she's fine with you doesn't mean you should stay. Sounds like she has problem that SHE needs to work on, and you shouldn't be her emotional punching bag.

I understand she has childhood trauma, but that isn't an excuse to treat all of those around her like trash. Like I said she has problems that SHE needs to work on. Do you really want to stay with someone who doesn't like your son??? Like you said the relationship between him and her, as well as your family is souring. You need to leave this toxic relationship for the sake of your son, your family and for yourself.

  5. So, you likely have some difficulty with your impulse control. YOu need to learn to wait before acting. Take some time to reflect: what am I doing, am I supposed to do that, and what will I gain a few weeks/months/years from now?

Most of the time, it's all about short term gains, and long term loss.

  6. Massive respect to you for doing the very important work you're doing… but let's not normalise this level of workload.

I can't even imagine doing a 12 hour shift, let alone a 24-36 hour shift. Hell, I struggle to stay awake for much more than 14-16 hours in one stretch, let alone actually working flat out during that time.

I know healthcare professionals are massively overworked, but if they're working 24+ hour shifts, they must surely be so tired, and that can't be good for patient outcomes.

“but he doesn't work more than 12 hrs a day”

No-one should be working more than 12 hours a day. The world is broken.
