I have been with my fiance for 8 years, she just graduated medical school 2 days ago. I supported her as much as I could and understood when she could not make it to vacations / hanging out with friends. If your boyfriend cant see that, then he isnt right for you and you should 100% prioritize your education over him.
You have a choice to make- your relationship or med school. I’d suggest finding some alone time and really think about which is more important. Even in your future life, should you become a doctor, your life will be defined by your profession. I agree with you that your mother is stupid woman and horrible parent after the stunt she pulled. Regarding Brad, he got what he deserved and if he was really sorry and cared about your mom, he would have stopped the relationship and stepped back. Also he wouldn't have gone after you the way that he did.
IMO, those two deserve each other. A mother, who traded in her son for a relationship that will really not last because Brad IMO will end up cheating on her at some point for someone younger, is horrible parent. I would recommend therapy for yourself though, after you break up, to work on healing and understanding the parts of you that thought it was ok to stay in a relationship where your needs were clearly not being met. Good luck.
