That sounds like she doesn't really see homosexuality as “real”, if you know what I mean? And at the same time, she doesn't view your bisexuality/bi-curiosity as “real”. I met people like that before. “A man and a woman, yes, they can have a thing. That's a real relationship. That's why I get mad at you for kissing someone of the opposite gender. But same gender? Nah, that's just for fun/sexy/cute/p0rnographic/whatever, but definitely not real. Not like a man and a woman.” Somewhat homophobic tones, if you listen closely.
My previous partner started smelling differently to me more than six months before he was diagnosed with cancer. It is definitely something to take seriously if nothing else has changed.
