The assumption is that you're 24. How many 24 year old men do you see in leadership roles across this country or anywhere in the world? Why do you think that the requirement in the USA is that to run for office of the presidency, you must be at least 35 years old? It's there to give you time to prove your value to the group.
A bad worker can show up and do a job for 3 months and then quit. A good one you'll keep around for 6 years because they work with you.
As for your qualities, you're just over evaluating yourself. The dudes your age, your classmates, by and large all of those guys possess most of the same qualities you do, and if you reached out, would talk to you willingly. It's the girls your age that would treat you slightly differently, and for good reason. You as an unknown are a potential threat just as much as a potential friend.
