3. This is a deal breaker to me, honestly. She left your *son* stranded for her selfish betrayals of both your family and your wedding vows.

   Kids know when Daddy is mad at Mommy. They know when something is wrong in the marriage. A lot of times they don't understand, but they sense it. Sometimes, they get mad at Daddy because, Mommy's crying, why is Daddy making her cry? Other times, they blame themselves and think it is their fault.

   In my personal experience and opinion, it is better to split up than put a child through that. If you can manage to co-parent civilly, that is less harmful to a child than a full-time hostile home environment.

   But if you're insistent on trying, SHE needs to be the one doing the work to earn your trust back, since she is the one that shattered it. Cutting off ALL contact with her Affair Partner is a must. Marriage counseling. Some spouses give the betrayed partner their location (either telling them where they are going when, and when they can be expected to be back, or a location tracker that they can't turn off), or access to their phones, emails, etc. But be warned, most cases that I have seen, the marriage ends up falling apart anyway.
