  1. I get it, you’re a good person and you don’t know that people can act this way without justification, so you keep giving her the benefit of the doubt. Because rational people have that ability to self reflect.

Unbalanced people follow a very specific script, but it ain’t yours or mine. And it’s -REALLY- very hot to imagine being that person.

Just keep reminding yourself that people like that, whether it’s intentional or not, use your sense of guilt against you. Don’t let her.

I had a stalker who did something very similar (most of these “jilted” types do) and claimed that she’d been rpd by a mutual acquaintance. I think she misunderstood that I hated that guy as much as I hated her, so my reaction was, basically nothing. When I didn’t jump to his defense, she dropped that as a manipulative tactic and never mentioned him again. Lucky him.

I had another encounter years later, a guy who wanted to date me claimed that he’d been jumped on his way home from the date that I’d refused to let him come home with me from. When I called him on it by asking for a picture, he fessed up about lying, he just wanted to make me feel guilty about turning him down.

Trust your gut. Protect yourself from harm, and no one harmless will suffer from it. Always put up the iron bars where it matters. And when guilt pops up, ask yourself what you really KNOW, and not what you’ve been told.

Be very safe. I’m sure you guys can handle it!
