5. If you suspect your partner of cheating, shouldn't the first person you talk to be your partner? OP says that she might have been a little hurt if he asked for a DNA test but she'd have done it to put his mind at ease. That he didnt ask her at all, and went behind her back with the ex, says that he values her less than his ex or that he doesn't know her at all.

   Alternatively, he's been cheating (at least emotionally) with his ex for a while and never stopped thinking of his ex as his partner with OP being the outsider who can't be trusted.
