Yeah it's 50/50 in my state too but you can agree on less or more if it's amicable. Honestly I can clearly see the million ways another child would make our lives more difficult. My main motivation is it feels like he shouldn't be an only child. I'm basing a lot of it on his personality because I can already see how it'll make our relationship a lot harder.

I find it unappealing that the man you’re dating blows all his money on trinkets for the kids and is therefore, this early on in dating, already somewhat dependent on the woman he’s dating to carry the relationship financially.
I find it unappealing that they have a 1 year old – how long have the parents even been broken up? Is he even legally single? Has the guy you’re dating lived on his own and supported himself and his kids for long enough for it to be a doable routine, such that him dating a woman isn’t him even subconsciously outsourcing an unfair amount of emotional, financial (!already!), and actual labor that HE should have a good handle on?
