Thank you, i put it gor the boyfriend part and then i was like.. but being spicy friends is also fun.. but so is just being friends.. it’s all yay :))
To answer your question from a literal perspective, dating is dating. If you're dating him then how you feel right now is what dating feels like…as it relates to this specific situation.
But logically I know what you're really asking. You're asking if this is “normal” and something you should expect in any situation. To answer that question, no, absolutely not.
You got together because you felt like you should. It is what it is. Even if up front you weren't planning on it, it's when you started talking in a romantic sense that you started “dating,” which to be clear is just the process of getting to know someone (romantically) to see if you're a fit and you're compatible.
You knew immediately that this wasn't right for you. So that's where it should have ended. Live! and learn. We only know what we know at the age and experience we have. If you learn nothing else, learn that you should never force anything if you realize that it's not right. It won't just magically get better based on nothing more than hoping it will.
In saying that, you're not technically missing a step. You're just wasting time for absolutely no reason. You just don't click, and if being in person was the possible reason for fixing it, only having 2 dates in 2 months shows that neither of you are making an effort for that to happen. It's ok to walk away. Good luck.
