This relationship should just end, after six years he proposes and now you dont want to marry him because your mom has cancer, fair enough, wanting to wait for her to be healthy or die isnt fair for him though. Their are people who have cancer for 5+ years so are you really gonna avoid being with your potential future husband for potentially years on a chance that your mom gets better or dies? What happens if she has a long battle with cancer like 10 years, its not fair for either of you to waste your twenties and thirties on something that is revolving around a chance. End it and focus on your mother and not date anymore till then so this issue doesnt come up. I sound unsympathetic and all, im sorry you and your mother are going through this but dont waste years on this anymore.
