4. I think it is part of life's challenges that as an individual we do need to be able to work on our mental issues ourselves as we grow into adults. Do not sit idly by and try to do things to close this gap between the two of you. I think it would be worth getting a therapist and trying adapt to a long distance relationship. Someone will have to make the sacrifice for the timezone change so I know it is not an easy thing to recommend. Do some small research live! on how to make LDRs work. Plan some vacations to visit him as well.
