(update) Telling my(M38) ex-wife(F38) that will my partner(F27) is pregnant. Yay or Nay?

I decided to tell my ex-wife in person before the banquet. She initially got the news very well. She told me that she was delighted for me, said congratulations, and then we went back to functioning. Now comes the day of the banquet. It starts, our fiancee comes, reveals she’s pregnant, and starts to do her speech. It was during her speech that our ex walked off. The girl didn’t walk off in the dramatic manner, but since the girl was next to me, I discovered. My finacee gestured to go talk to her and that’s what I did.

I found my ex crying within the lobby and we started talking. Turns out about 3 times prior, she went to the physician and they explicitly told her this time around that she will never have the ability to carry a child. She hadn’t been actively trying anymore but it hurt to hear. The lady said she felt like she failed me & squandered my time. I quickly shut that down. I am going to never put any blame on her for us not having a child. We had a really good conversation about it, a conversation that was very much required and returned to the banquet. The next day she gifted us a lot of the baby stuff that’s been in our old house, which really meant a lot. I believe it’s great that we discussed this and really helps us going forward. I’m so excited about this next chapter of my entire life and can’t wait to see what’s in store. Thanks for all of the advice.
