My husband and I went out to dinner without the kids upon Friday night. Long story short, a guy in the parking lot called me a “bitch” and my husband confronted your pet about it. My husband is 5’10” and this guy was possibly 6’4” and much younger. They fought and I wouldn’t say either of them “won” but my husband was beat up pretty bad. We went house and about an hour later I took him to the hospital because I figured out some of the bones in his face are usually broken. He’s getting surgical procedure on Monday so the past couple days he hasn’t been doing anything.

Today he started crying to me mainly because he’s convinced I think he’s a loser and I’m going to leave him because he lost the fight. I actually told him I’m impressed by him standing up to a a lot bigger man for me and honestly it makes me more attracted to him. He told me I’m just lying to produce him feel better and he returned to sleep. He hasn’t even wanted me to check out him because he’s so ashamed of himself.

I don’t understand what to do here. He’s lost all confidence because of this. Really dont think I’ll be able to encourage him he was the better man in this situation, he’s just going to be all of the upset that he got beat up.
