Our (24F) best friend (24F) known as me a ped*phile. How can all of us still be friends after?
My best friend and I have known each other since we were 9 and have been attached at the hip since. We’ve always said we’re like sisters that just met later. We’ve a new fair share of arguements, but we’ve always discovered each other at the end. However I don’t know if we can come back again from this. Here’s what happened:
A week ago I was over at her plus her fiancé’s (29M) house and we were hanging out enjoying themselves. The conversation changed to what celebrities we found sweet and then we would agree or disagree and laugh about this. She then took her phone out, showed me a TikTok and went “Okay this guy is popular at the moment, what about him? ” We went “He’s nude, however, not my type” and the girl jaw dropped and stated he was 10/10 to her. We were laughing about it until she said his age in his bio. She checked out me and said “Since when were you a ped*phile? He’s only 20” just before I could reply she ongoing with “You would never time a guy younger than us, right? ” I was really taken aback the situation plus said “I mean right now I don’t want to date anybody. But eventually yeah I might be ok with dating a man younger than me, yet within reason like perhaps a few years same with older than me” she looked me down and up and went “That’s horrible. ” I was flustered plus feeling hurt so I responded back “You know what? Keep that same energy along with Matt then. When you men started dating you JUST converted 18 and he was 23” she stopped and mentioned “Get out. ”
I left feeling, annoyed, embarrassed, and angry. Seems like she was the 1 taken aback by this tiktokers age and switched it on me. I have never seen her this particular out of character and she hasn’t spoken to me since. I have texted and called plus it’s silence. Am I not seeing something? Can there be any way to salvage our own friendship? I don’t want to eliminate her, but I am really hurt she would talk to myself like this.
TL; DR My mate called me a ped*phile after I (24) thought a tiktoker (20) was attractive. She is no longer talking to me.
