My(41f) daughter(19f) found out her dad(40m) is trying to have another infant
Dispose of because I don' capital t want family members to see this.
I don' capital t know what to do.
Our ex husband and I split 12 years ago. He has been since remarried a woman ten years younger.
For the earlier part of my daughters life he didn' t have a very good job and didn' to have to pay a lot in kid support, so we were pretty broke and had to across the internet with family.
Matters have gotten better over the last 5 years and the daughter was finally happy and secure.
This particular weekend he decided to take his new wife on vacation and asked my girl to feed their dogs and birds.
While she was there the lady found ovulation tests, pregnancy tests and pregnancy/parenting publications and magazines.
My daughter had no idea they were planning this and is incredibly upset. When I contacted her dad he basically told me it wasn' t possibly of our business and even told me he was mad that our daughter was “snooping” by means of their house and personal business (this is a house she was raised in btw).
Our daughter doesn' t even want to see or talk to her dad at this point.
She actually is so upset that he essentially replaced us with a lady who is 10 years older than her and now is trying to start a brand new family without giving her any warning or wondering how she would feel.
I don' t know how to help her, or help mend this relationship, since she obviously needs her dad and his support, but I don' t need her to also think that she isn' t permitted to be upset.
Any kind of advice would be great.
