My boyfriend (27M) thinks that it’s unfair that I (22F) earn more than he will, even though it’s the same Spend rate, just more hours. Was I being Unfair?

I focus on a One Week on, One Week Away from basis. 14 hours on weeknights, and 12 hrs weekend nights. Then upon my week at home I try to fit in an occasional shift for my second job.

So overall, I am earning around $2-3k the fortnight.

However , my partner thinks it’s unfair that I get paid so much just for 1 weeks work. The thing is, he works the same pay rate as I do, but not as numerous hours.

I pay out my rent, and my share of the bills considering that we live! together. I actually pay for shopping and I even give him Fuel money since he helps me away sometimes because I don’t generate yet.

Now I will admit, I got this job away from luck without having to try as well naked, as I was already within the company books.

Individually I believe that I deserve to have a break with finances, since I have never had this much prior to. I grew up basically poor, my mum worked several jobs just to feed all of us and keep a house. My dad has been never around and never paid child support.

I was even homeless when I was 13.

When I first began to work, I would barely create enough to buy new shoes or boots, or bus fair. We struggled to save even hundred buck, and was on Federal government benefits for a while. I nevertheless haven’t even gotten our license and only after starting this job is where I began to save.

He however has had it so easy. Every single car he has owned was bought for him. He or she lives in a house that their mum owns, he simply pays rent and essential bills, he went to a private school, he’s been upon holidays so often. He by no means had to worry about where their next meal came from, newly cooked every night.

He’s never had to work naked to go by.

Yet now that they have to, he thinks it unfair that I work only one week and get paid a lot for it.

One second, he’s like “oh it’s great you earn lost, in case we need to take a week off” And then the next he’s like “I have to work my a** off to earn what I do, and you don’t”.

I offer to help him with money if he or she needs it, but this individual always refuses, saying that this individual doesn’t want to live away from me.

He also helps to keep saying that “you don’t understand my perspective on it”

And every time we discuss it, he gets like this and then says “oh good I won’t talk to a person when you’re at work then, we won’t talk from all”
