His end-goal is converting you. That's what he'll keep doing. Any attempts he makes to try to convince you otherwise are lies, told for his “Greater Good”.

My dad is like this, he would return every single gift we got him because it wasn’t exactly what he wanted. He would be nice about it when he opened it, but he just knows what he wants and doesn’t want stuff he won’t use cluttering his space.
